Happy Halloween

This is the first year that the girls' costumes haven't gone together, but they are just so cute and perfect for their personalities.

Tinkerbell

The Amazing Wonder Woman

Halloween is always a very busy time. This year the girls each had several chances to wear their costumes. Friday we saw Brianna at the school's parade.

Then I helped out with her class party, Carly stayed and helped out too.

I always have my family over for dinner on Halloween this year I had the kids make little pumpkin frames.

Have you ever seen a cuter bunch of kids?

Jack was not loving the frog costume.

Atty was a super scary Dinosaur Rex.

And Zoe was a fabulous purple princess.

Two little pumpkins

I've been a slacker when it comes to Halloween this year, but I did finally get the girls to the pumpkin patch to pick some out.

I can often tell what kind of day the girls are going to have by how they dress. If they choose to dress alike we, are going to have a good day.

They really are best friends.

So we've got the pumpkins now we just need to get Daddy to dig out the decorations for us.

Spoiled Girls

We have two very very spoiled little girls, but with as cute as they are how can we help it? So, Brianna has been debating getting her ears pierced for quite a while now and she recently decided that her Halloween costume would not be complete without earrings.

She looks so scared in this picture but she was very, very brave and didn't even cry.

She was so brave Carly decided she wanted hers done too.

We were surprised at how well she did.
So now our cute girls are even cuter with a little bling on the ears.

Busy Saturday

I have a lot going on this Saturday. First up.

I'm having an Open House. 11am-1pm

Come Check out some of the great gift items I make and sell. I'll have lots of new stuff ! If your interested in coming post a comment or send me an email and I'll be happy to let you know my address.
After my open house I'm headed to another Open House being held at The Stable Place. This is where Brianna rides at and we love it there. They are having a fund raiser to benefit some of the special programs they offer. They have Special Olympics groups, Drug and Alcohol rehab groups, and rides for kids in foster care. In addition to helping people they are helping many horses who have been rescued and now are happy at the stable place.
I was very happy to make and donate this quilt to be auctioned off as part of a silent auction with many other fun things. There will also be food and horse demonstrations, and pony cart rides.
Come see what I've been raving about and help a good cause.

Rodeo

Last summer Brianna started taking horse back ridding lessons and she absolutely loves it. We decided it was time to put some of what she has been learning in to action and participate in a rodeo. This was more of a fun learning rodeo than a big competitive thing but it was very fun and Bri definitely learned a lot.

This is before it started and we are getting Taffy, her horse, ready.

Bri's teacher offered to have Carly do a little class for the under 5 year olds. Jayme lead her but she wanted Daddy to walk with her.

The gave all the kids a first place ribbon which Carly thought was fabulous.

The first event Bri did was the Walk/Trot it basically evaluates their basic horseman ship skills.

We were all a bit surprised when she won the first place ribbon is this. The instructor said that even thought she had to correct how she was holding the reigns she was the only one to do everything right.

Next she did a Barrel race.

She usually has trouble on the second barrel, but today she did awesome.

She cantered to the finish. She place 4th is this event.

She is just darn cute!

Next she did a relay race with another girl that takes lessons at the stable. She had to run a baton down to the other rider.

Then they both ran back together. She lost her helmet, but she still did really well.

Next was pole bending. For this they trot to the end of the line of poles then they have to weave in and out.

When she practices she always misses the second pole, but this time she got all of them

Then they turn around and weave back down again.

She told us before she did the poles that she was just going to walk the whole thing, but she did end up trotting most of it.

There was also a run away pony that distracted her but she was able to get Taffy back on course and not miss a pole.

And again she cantered back. I love the tongue hanging out.

Last she did the Keyhole. She had never practiced this before but the organizers really encouraged the kids to try all the events. She did really great.

In all Bri left with 5 ribbons, They make sure that every kid walks away with ribbons and they require everyone to cheer for everyone. It was such a great experience for Brianna. I'm so glad she got a chance to do this and we can't wait to do another. I'm so proud of both my girls. I'm so glad that we found Jayme and the Stable Place it is really such an amazing place.

Cabin '09

My brother and his wife have a cabin that we are lucky enough to get to use from time to time. We love to go up in the fall and have done it for the past several years.

One of the favorite things to do there is to rock hunt.

This time we didn't find rocks.

We found lizards.

Jon is so great with the girls.

Brianna is my little nature girl and love going up to the cabin.

Carly loves it too.

My sister and her family came up Saturday and we took a trip into Vernal to see the Dinosaurs.

The had so much fun at the Dinosaur museum

These three have so much fun together.

Like most 3 year old boys Atty loves Dinosaurs. He is showing us is best growl.

We tried to feed the kids to the dino's but they thought they were too spoiled.

We took Atty rock hunting when we got back to the cabin.

Then we snuggled down to watch a movie.

The stars are so beautiful up there.

One last hike before we left.
Thanks Uncle Jon and Aunt Misti.
